DR CYRIAC MAPRAYIL

Dr Cyriac Maprayil M.A (London), PhD (Leeds) FR Hist.S is a historian, academic and journalist. During his career he has also widely campaigned on human rights issues in his role as Director of the Tower Hamlets Race Equality Council and subsequently continuing to highlight civil liberties as the Director of the East London Human Rights Commission. He is also the founding director of the VK Krishna Menon Institute. He has been associated with the India League since the 1970’s and has been serving vice – chair since 2010.
He is the author of several highly acclaimed books most notably, Nehru and the Commonwealth and The Agony of India.
